Problem W/2nd Mort.

What is the name of your state? PA
I had fallen behind in my 2nd mort. They stated they would send this to a local Maj. if payment wasn't made. When speaking to the manager of the branch were the mort is set up. I told him I would have the payment to him by a certain day and I did. He stated to me that they would not send it if they recieved payment by that time. A few days after making the payment I recieved a notice from the D.J. that they filed a small claim against me. Do I have any recource? Any help is welcomed.
