What is the name of your state? Florida, Sarasota County
I applied for, closed on government loan to fix problems in my unit. I am living in a death trip per the code enforcement and city inspector. While the work was getting ready to start they found termites and water damage; the damage is such that the loan was put on hold for a certain amount of time so the association would get someone in here to repair the damages. The association stated they will not be doing the structural repairs any time soon and since it will not be done in the time allowed by the loan and they won’t give any time frame as to when they think they will repair, the loan will have to be canceled and I will be responsible to come up with the money to get this death trap fixed or I will be fined and worse per the code enforcement inspector. My daughter and I are living in a death trap; I can’t afford to do electrical, plumbing work, which was why I applied for the government loan. I can’t afford lawyers to go after my association. What am I to do?
