What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Indiana
I have a friend whose Facebook newsfeed I was perusing and saw this post from his property manager: "HELLO James I need you to come to the office in the morning to talk bout your rent or I will have to file on you on Wednesday." This is a rental community and not just an individual landlord/tenant situation. Is this legal even in a broad sense? Thanks for any info!

Nothing illegal about it.

I'm disappointed. I read this thread expecting to advise the OP about how to deal with threats. Instead, I get a person who is not involved in the matter talking about seeing a non-threatening message from one person to another.
