What is the name of your state?florida

I move into my apartment on the 4th of this month, and I am being charged a full months rent. I asked management if it can be prorated and they said that it is too close to the first of the month, so it doesn't qualify to be prorated. Is this legal or correct? Also, my lease ending date is July 30, 2006. I have to pay the full months rent for that month as well. I know it is only one additional day, but shouldn't I be able to stay the full month. I should atleast not have to pay for that day. Am I being too picky?

Depends on when the unit was made available for you to move in, if unit was not ready until the 4th then the landlord has to prorate and deduct 3 days...And no you are not being picky under this circumstance.

If it was available on the 1st but you simply did not move in to the 4th then you need to pay the full month.
