I also want to know about terminating a parents rights. I want to know if it is possible to do that in Maryland. I would like to petition the court to take away a person's parental rights to my son, but a friend of mine said there was a law in Maryland against such a thing. But he was convicted of 2nd degree murder and child abuse causing death of his first born. If anyone has any advice please give it to me.

My response:

In California, that would be enough - - since the crime involved a child. However, it would do you well to obtain a free consultation with a Family law attorney in your area for specific law and advice.

Please, don't use proper names on this, or any site. There are wackos out here in Cyberland. As a matter of fact, use the Edit button and take the names out.

Thanks.

It is also more than enough in Maryland. Research statutes § 5-312 & § 5-313.
