What is the name of your state? KS
does spousal support continue if payee had an annulment?
terms:
maintenance order is modifiable
the terms of spousal support and is to terminate upon the death of either party or the remarriage of the payee.
question?
the payee was married but the state of Kansas "annuled the union"
K.S.A. Decree of ANNULMENT given case no.
K.S.A. 60-1602. Grounds for annulment.
(b) The district court may grant a decree of annulment of any marriage if the contract of marriage was induced by mistake of fact, lack of knowledge of a material fact or any other reason justifying recission of a contract of marriage.
the payee is therefore still thought of as though the wedding never took place,
so must my brother continue paying her.
my brother - lives in the state of MO. where the divorce was granted and spousal support
awarded to his ex-wife.
Does he have anyway of discontinuing spousal support?
Missouri -was where the divorce was granted,
and he feels that he should not have to pay his exwife "zip"
