What is the name of your state?oh

I recently found out I've OVERPAID child support by around 5,000. I was paying back support in the begining, and got a copy of our current order which stated the exact amount to be paid. So this month I paid the original amount. Can I go to court with this and lesson the amount now since I've over paid? Can I ask that she pay me back? Apparently now, as I stated before she has said that she will take me back for all medical/and everything else she can think of, if I continue to not consent to the name change. So would they take into consideration that she has never asked me for 1/2 of the medical? I can't see them siding with her, because she never presented a single bill to me in the 9 years. But I'm not sure.

Oh and can she sue me for her legal bills if I give up on the name change thing, and just don't show up or respond to the interrogatories, since it was me (in her mind) that made her get a lawyer?

You case has been discussed at legnth.
I will address one part of your question. Yes she can be awarded court costs and attorney's fees, she can be awarded these if you fail to answer the interrogatories, fail to appear for the hearing or fail to prevail, it is up to the judge. Yes you can be held responsible for medical and other costs.
You chose not to be a part of your child's life.

Time to grow up and act your age.

It will be difficult to convince a judge to give you money back from what you've paid- all because you couldn't read your court order. You should have been paying attention.

You justify not wanting to pay your assigned 1/2 of medical bills because she didn't ask you in all these years~ But at the same time you justify your own want to change things (name) when YOU weren't asking all these years. You can't have it both ways, but I think you are learning that now.

So...still think this is so easy? :D
