I feel kind of dumb here...but I guess I just don't know what to expect.
I bounced two checks at the local WalMart. It was my fault and I completely totally forgot about them after they sent me the certified letter. They were sent to the local magistrait who in turn is sending me to a preliminary hearing because I had a couple of bounced checks about 4 years ago. My attorney is suggesting that I waive my hearing...I guess I just dont understand why I can't just plead guilty and pay the checks and court costs...I'm really scared and don't really know what to expect. My attorney said the day of the hearing we will waive my hearing and we will have to sign a lot of paperwork...
