What is the name of your state? Florida

i am creating a way of exercising and it would seem this technique is not yet being used. i wish to instruct it along side a yoga instructor i want to know that my brand of exercise is mine only would it be a paten as well as trade marking the name of this exercise please give any information you can i have already copy wrote cds that i will be selling on the internet i just want to be on top of this opportunity seeing as its very new thing that hasnt been done any advice i would really appreciate it

It's highly unlikely that you would be able to obtain a patent on a new way of exercising -- this is a "discovery," not an "invention," and is most likely not patentable subject matter. You could contact and attorney or patent agent and talk with them in confidence about your idea, but based on what you've written, it doesn't sound likely that you've "invented" something patentable.

A trademark might protect the name, but it will likely be impossible to protect the "moves" or techniques. You might want to consult with an attorney, who can review ALL of the relevant facts in your situation, and advise you on how best to protect your idea, if it is possible to protect.
