Yes I filed an appeal for my UI in Nevada. Employer is claiming attendance issues with a no call no show as the discharge. However it was my only absence and total isolated incident. I was ill the night prior and at work I had asked coworker if he could for me for my AM shift the following morning. There was no mgmt around so it was normal practice to just verbal agreement. Co worker had problem and did not show. I was bed ridden and checked phone only to see one phone call that was not coworker or the familiar work number. I live 20 miles away without a vehicle and when i realized co worker did not show I sent text msg to manager who just said well we dealt with it but call before your shift tomorrow to see what will happen. I called next day to see if i still had my shift or not and they asked me to come in 2 days later on Sat to speak with mgr. I was let go for the no call no show...
There was no attendance policy,no written or verbal writeups, and certainly not aware that this would result in termiation. I have a questionaire under my "issues delaying benefits" that i assume will be crosschecked during my appeal. The date says 3-31-17..
One of questions asks why were you discharged? Attendance or no call no show..Any input would be appreciated.
Thank you
