What is the name of your state? Indiana
Unable to keep up with the mortgage Mr Doe (new homeowner 2 yrs) left the state in search of work. 1 pmt past due a property mangagement co would not let him sign up to rent it out. Now 6 months behind and officially in forclosure HUD refered him to a FREE service quick buy company who is anxious to HELP keep forclosure off his name. I still reside in the house and initally dealt with this company rep. No papers have yet been signed giving them permission to negotiate with the mortage company. In fact Mr Doe has not communicated with the banks or attorneys as if he feels there is no use to. He may just let it fully forclose. If Mr Doe signs his house over to these quick buy people and the bank sells it to them will he owe the mort balance difference, back taxes ? Are these quick buy helpers scam artists ? They made it sound like they were all about helping for free. I felt red flags. Do you advise Mr Doe to get a foreclosure attorney? And where do the poor get free lawyers ?
