What is the name of your state?Florida Orlando
My grandmother needed to have one of my aunts added to her Will because for some reason she was not on it. So my grandmother called her eldest son to have the change made(she has nine children all together). He came to her with a revised Will to sign and give to a Lawyer. Mixed in with the Will was a QuitClaim Deed, which stated at the time of my grandmother's death the house will go to uncle(only his name was on the Deed). At the time my grandmother did not know what she was signing because it was mixed in with the Will and that is what she was told she was signing.
How we all found out was because the Lawyer sent the orignal copy of the Quitclaim Deed back to my grandmother with a second page requesting that she sign saying that she was in possesion of the orignal and to place it in a safe place.
When we asked my uncle what the Deed meant he told us that in the State of Florida you have to Deed the house over to someone because in the Time of their Death the state can come in and take the house from the family.

Notes:
My grandparents bought the house cash when they moved to Florida so there is no mortgage on the house.
My grandfather died three years ago leaving evrything to my grandmother.
The Will states that all nine children get the house to either sell and split the money or keep it in the family.

My questions are: Is this the Law or was my grandmother tricked into signing over her house? Does this Deed cancel out the Will leaving my other aunts and uncles with nothing?
