Quick question, on all tests isn't there suppose to be a box on the question "Prefer not to reply " or something all that line. I was wondering because I took a national test and there was a massive amount of racial profiling and no way to opt out of the questions. When I asked it I could skip the question I was told I had to answer all the questions. I thought there was a law against thing, but I may be wrong

What the heck is a national test, and what question are you talking about?

Sounds like a slow question to me.

Anyway, without any more info, I'd have to agree with BB.

If this is a private test of some kind, they can ask whatever they want.

The test was the National Assessment of Educational Progress and is done by a division of the department of education. The question that I am referring to is one like "Which of the following would you most closely identity with." The reason I am asking is because I am Arab and the only choices on the test were :White, African American, Asian, Native American, or Pacific Islander. Technically I am Asian but i don't identify with them, and when I brought it up the guy told me to go with Asian. I hope this clears some things up

You're kidding, right? It said, according to YOU, "most closely" identify with, not "identify with". Goodness, gracious. My next line would be "you people!", but I'd probably get in trouble for that.

YOU PEOPLE! so you're prejudice and now trying to accuse everyone else also?

And my daughter is Roma (Gypsy) and that's not one of the answer's either! So what? The question was which one you most CLOSELY identify with, which translated, means, "Of those listed which one do you feel the MOST kinship with", not "Which of the above are you". And, as Curt581 pointed out, has nothing to do with the definition of "racial profiling".
