Re: Can States seize the contents of a home?

What is the name of your state? Massachusetts

I live in the state of Massachusetts, my mother is in a nursing home and the state has guardianship of her, my father is currently living in his own home which is owned by both my parents, in the event of my fathers death can the state seize my parents home and also the contents of it. There is a will signed by both of my parents giving my brother and me co-executors of their estate.

So once your father no longer needs the shelter and funds you want to sell the home and use their life funds to now pay her way for a while so the people of your state can have a little break, right?
