Here's my situation, my husband and I have been married for 4 yrs. He is in the process of purchasing a house in VA (where we live) but didn't put my name on any of the paper work bec he says, in case we divorce he doesn't want to be left out paying for a house while we (the kids and I) live in it. I am under the impression though that the house is considered "community property" since it was aquired after our marriage date. Is this true? How will my name not being on the morgage nor the loan or title affect me if at all after divorce?

Thank You,
Zyra
