What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Louisiana New thread as per request...
We filed bankruptcy about 1 1/2 year ago. My attorney was lousy, always turning us over to paralegals, one of which was fired for apparently incompentancy. After all was done, we thought we were done. In fact we didn't realize that the house was turned in, due to confusion and changes. One item was suppose to be re-affirmed but the actual amount was in dispute, and it was never followed up by them. Anyway Wells Fargo told me the house was bankrupted, my credit report shows it was bankrupted, and papers sent to us from WF state as much and fri I was issued a citation (petition to enforce security interest by ordinary process) from the sheriff. Not knowing what it was I went to the court as it directed. Someone there told me I was being sued for the money. Im like how can they sue when it was discharged in bankruptcy.
I'm so confused and actually a little scared.
anyone know what this is all about?
