What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Louisiana

I received this Citation today, saying we have to respond within 15 days by filing a pleading. My question is, can we just file a pleading and how would I go about that if we can.

The funny thing is, we have been dealing with Wells Fargo for months and have been in active short sale. Wells Fargo told us foreclosure could not happen as long as we were in short sale active status. I called Wells Fargo the minute I received this citation and they know nothing about it. I don't see how this is possible. So, I called the attorney who filed the citation, twice today and receive voicemail boxes each time.

I am at a loss. We cannot afford an attorney and I want to do something within the 15 days, despite the fact that Wells Fargo has us in active short sale status. Wells Fargo has yanked us around for months, when we were trying to work with them. I am at a complete and utter loss. We have two children and I don't want to end up homeless in a month....any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

With all due respect, you have known for months that you would need to find a new place to live.

Seems we are similar except Im not in a short sale. I filed bankruptcy 1 1/2 years ago and now they sent me the same package. I understand that all foreclosures in La are handled judicially, but I don't even own the house after the bankruptcy. Don't know what I'm suppose to do or say. My bankruptcy attorney doesn't even return my calls, so whats up with that. He is the attorney of record and if I have to Ill get the judge to mandate his answers.

Please start your own thread, and we can respond to your question. (Hint: A Bankruptcy surrender does not itself TRANSFER OWNERSHIP)
