What is the name of your state? tx

we finally got final orders on a custody hearing that was held two years ago. well in these final orders the collection of the child support has been changed from the district courts office to the state AG's office.

my question is now that the AG is collecting support will they also begin monitoring how long its been since the support has been modified either up or down. we are pushing the 3 year time frame in texas and are wondering if we should get ready for another increase?

Thanks!

Yes. I deal with the AG for CS, and we just modified our case last December, and now I am being sued for an increase in CS. I thought that he had to wait the three years too, but the AG is pushing it now knowing that we modified a year ago.

Is the answer still yes even if there is no case open? All the state is doing is collecting the support. There is currently no case open against my husband because he has never missed a payment.

It kinda sounds like to me that a lot of good paying parents are going to get caught up in the states machine of let see how high we can make their payments...
