What is the name of your state? NY

If I take a known product, say French's Mustard or Heinz Ketchup, purchase it in quantities and add maybe 5 other ingredients to it which makes it a new type of condiment, can I market it and re-sell it as a new product? Is there some type of infringement by me using a known product like Heinz's ketchup?

If you purchase the "known product" at retail, and do not use the name of the known product when selling your new product, then this would be perfectly legal, at least from an intellectual property standpoint.
