What is the name of your state: Illinois
Not to long ago I got a reckless driving ticket for spinning my tires. I will admit it wasn't just a chirp but I will also say it wasn't something that you would see on TV. It was like when you go around a corner too sharp or you hit your gas a little too hard from a stop when it's wet. The only difference is it was dry and I was in a parking lot. I had bricks in my car before this for traction when was wet outside because I have a rear wheel truck. I was still getting used to not having that extra weight. Nobody was around me and I was parked away from other cars. The officer then followed me maybe a block or so up the road and then pulled me over but was driving behind me the entire time. When he pulled me over I was respectful and didn't give a hard time and he still have me a ticket anyway which is whatever. I don't feel that this was reckless driving though and I know that there is a ticket for spinning tires alone. I have court soon and my father (under 18) will not allow me to get an attorney or anything. He said he would help me but I'm not too confident in that. I don't know what to do.
My other speeding ticket I was really late for work and I thought on this road it was like 40 and I was going 45 come to find out it's a 30. Cop pulls me over and everything, understandable, gives me a ticket also understandable.
With these two tickets I cannot afford to pay both if I can't get out of the reckless driving ticket. I can barely even afford to pay for one. My parents said that they will not help me pay for these tickets if anything does happen. I work a job making less than minimum wage (Illinois doesn't have to pay minimum wage under 18) these tickets are almost as big or bigger than what my checks are. I really have no clue on what to do.
