What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? I live in VA. I got a reckless driving ticket on rt 60 in Amherst county. The office was parked facing west and I was driving east. The speed limit is 55 and I was going 66...however about 60 feet away there is a sign with an arrow to indicate ahead...with a 45 mph speed limit meaning...the speed limit changes to 45 soon. I knew this as I have live and traveled on this road daily for over 15 years and have never gotten a ticket.....When I saw the officer I immediately braked and my speed decelerated quickly.....he immediately did a u turn and got behind me...no lights on tho...but I saw him and never went above the posted speed once he turned and got behind me.....he waited until we had gone over a mile to turn his lights on ....I told him that the speed limit had not changed yet ..(while I was going 11 miles over) he said he wasn't going to argue with me ....so I went back and made a video of where he was sitting and the drive to where the sign says ahead speed limit changes to 45 and then further down the road where the sign actually says the speed limit is now 45 ....also the location he wrote for the incident is actually not where he was sitting and almost a mile from where he finally turned his lights on what can I do ...am I right to think that it was still 55 when he pulled a u turn and got behind me?

OK, let's leave out the parts that don't matter:

1. That you got on the brakes after you observed the officer.
2. That you always speed on this road and never got a ticket.
3. That the officer waited before pulling you over.
4. Where the lights came on.
5. Where you eventually got pulled over.
6. Where and how he u-turned to get you.

What matters is where the officer will testify where you were observed traveling faster than the speed limit and what that was.
This is what should written on the ticket, NOT where he was sitting, not where you were eventually stopped. It is ithe point where you committed the violation.

Reckless Driving isn't anything to sneeze at. It's criminal and carries a potential jail penalty. Unless you talk to the Commonwealth's Attorney and they agree to reduce it to improper driving, I'd definitely want an attorney.

How about an actual location (you can call it up in google maps) describing where you were?
