Two Questions:
1)My husband rec'd a reckless speeding ticket in Virginia. On the ticket it had July 3rd as the date of the offense when in fact it happened on July 4th. Can this be thrown out? Would we need a lawyer to fight it for us?
2)Same ticket as above, if we do have to fight we were thinking about getting a lawyer b/c of the offense. When my husband got the ticket he thought the speed limit was 55. When in fact he got the ticket 1/10 of mile past where it had changed to 45mph. There was no "Reduced speed ahead" sign. Is there a law in VA that there should be such a sign. If not, are we supposed to just slam on the brakes to go to the speed limit? Do you think we could fight this on our own with pictures or do we need a lawyer?
