Hello,

I was visiting Miami, FL for vacation. I went past the intersection of NE 16th Street and Biscayne Blvd. I went through a green light and I know the car behind followed through as well. However I saw a white flash from the side I believe when I was in the intersection. I was wondering if I should be worried about a ticket. Also, 1. what do red light cameras look like in Miami and 2. does a single red light camera capture both perpendicular directions at an intersection or would there have to be cameras facing both directions?

First, if you went through on the green any photo would show that. Second, a white flash could have been sunlight reflecting off something just as easily as a camera flash.

That's what I figured, if I went through green it isn't an issue. As for the sunlight, I was driving at night.

It could have been the camera catching someone else as well (may be someone with a red light didn't stop before the line, etc...).

If you (or whoever is the registered owner of the vehicle) gets the citation, write back. Otherwise, relax.

Thanks! Guess I just need the reassurance. And as for my second question, can a single red light camera capture an entire intersection or does it only capture one direction?

Stop already. If you get a ticket in the mail then you worry about it. Until then you need to relax.
