HOMESTYLE BOOKS NIGHTMARE: I joined this book club to purchase four books over a two year period. After purchasing my four books they continued to send unordered books, all of which I returned. They NEVER stated that they would be sending unordered books! I contacted them stating I wanted out of the contract and to advise me how much I had to order so I could do so immediately and stop these shipments. they said that the four books I purchased did not count and I had to buy 4 more-expensive books. I did this just to get out of their contract immediately without wasting time fighting it. I continued to receive delinquent notices. Three separate times I contacted customer service, they said they would correct their records and my contract was satisfactorily completed. Now they have sent me to a collection agency!!!

So, my simple question is: What do I write in a letter to them and/or the collection agency to protect my credit?

Thanks

Write to them (Homestyle).
Include names of persons who confirmed your completion and copies of any records showing return and/or payment.
