I'm asking this for my grandfather - My grandfather and his siblings were all left a share of land by their parents. The executor (sp?) was his sister, who in turn has sold all the land to a third party, never notifying the siblings or giving them their share of the money. He consulted with his attorney to see if he could get some information, the attorney said he would investigate. Never heard from him, come to find out he was the attorney for the third party involved. When my grandfather found out, he went to the Probate Court clerk to get a platt of the the land. He was denied the information. When he explained to the judge that he never signed any documentation allowing the sale, the judge said everyone signed it, so that was it. No one claims that they signed this and everyone is wondering what do to. Should this information be available under the Freedom of Information Act or something?
