What is the name of your state? texas

here we go. i live with my 91 year old grandmother, mother of my dad.
she has a direct deposited ssa check in her name, with my cousin on her account as a co-signer. (due to her age and the closeness of the cousin to her in previous sickness) well since living with my grandma, i have noticed on the bank statement that my cousin is cashing large amounts of money from the account and paying alot of bills that are not my grandmas. i have tried to tell my grandma and she seems to not want to believe that it's true. i have access to the monthly bills and bank statement which i have been hiding for two months from my cousin. she has the checkbook and has also taken several credit cards and ran them up to the max. which has ruined my grandmas credit. i don't know what to do, i have told my grandmas children and they are very upset. what can we do without causing a big family breakup? it just is not right for her to be practically stealing all her money every month. thank and please help soon.......wes

Your grandmother is the ONLY person who can do anything. I would simply present the statements to her and try to explain what it means. Then, let HER decide what, if anything, she might want to do.

Simply, unless you are her legal guardian, this is of your business.

Ask grandmother to get this other person's name off of the account and name someone else, and stop being afraid of a big family blowup--if it happens, then so be it--this other person needs to be held accountable for her unethical actions. Show grandma the cancelled checks and try to have a third party with you to back you up and to try to help explain.
