Responding to custody suit

Does anyone know how long it takes to know if someone has responded to custody suit against the??

My husband had his ex wife served with custody papers, the 20 calander days has passed and we havent heard anything yet. The 20 days were up this Monday and I was wondering how long it would take. Also what exactly does 20 calender days mean?? My husband says it includes the weekends and I say it dont. Who is right???

I am pretty sure that "calendar days" means every single day is counted including weekends.

mon-fri would be considered "business days" and then weekends wouldnt count.
