What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Nevada

I was forced to give my son up for adoption by his biological father. I no longer have any contact with the father and I want my son back. I was told it was as easy as filing a paper with an attorney. Is this true? How long does the process take?

sorry

You chose a man over your child. Nevada does not allow you to change your mind. You are no longer the legal mother of the child.

I'm sorry for your pain, please seek counseling - it will help.

I was forced to give my son up for adoption by his biological father.

How exactly were you FORCED??

I no longer have any contact with the father and I want my son back.

If adption is final he is no longer your son.

Whomever told you that is flat out, an idiot. Do you really think that if this were the case there would be any adoptions??

Sorry - but unless there is an extreme circumstance behind the adoption, your child is the legal son of another couple

Did the OP have other posts that she deleted?

There's nothing in the OP's post that even remotely hints that she chose a man over her child.

(I know, it doesn't change the legal answer, but I'm just curious where you got that info)

She said the following:
I was forced to give my son up for adoption by his biological father.
She chose the wishes of the biological father over raising her son. Hence she chose the man over the child. She could NOT have been forced legally to do so. She could have CHOSE not to agree to do what the father wanted her to do. Instead she CHOSE to do what the biological father wanted her to do which was have her son adopted.

Thanks for the clarification. I took it to mean that the OP chose to be with a man, possibly a sex offender, etc and that is why she was "forced" to TPR.

Guess I was overthinking on this one.:D
