What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA

8 years ago, in june, i had a daughter, her father and i never married and had a violent relationship for about a year. after i got a pfa against him for legitimately abusing me, he decided to use the system against me, and reported lies to CYS they opened an investigation, the women assigned to my case, told me she knew that what he said wasn't true but because a report was filed she had to follow procedures, but advised me to get my parents involved to help get my daughter out of the system.
Eventually my parents adopted my daughter. her father and i both signed over custody.
I have been allowed to visit with and have full communication with my daughter through out the entire adoption, her father has not been allowed to see her and has not attempted to for at least 5 years...

i want to have her full time back with me, my parents are willing to allow me to have her, but we do not want to notify her father. the reason we don't just have her stay with me and not go through a legal proceeding is because i need to qualify for child care assistance, i will be fully financially responsible for her, so i don't want my parents income included.

What are my options?
How much is it going to cost?

She is no longer your daughter, but your sister. EOS.

ok, well then can i adopt my sister, with out notifying her biological father

You cannot support her financially ~ it is not going to happen.

Why would anyone agree to take a child from a home where she is completely and privately supported and put her in a home where she will require the government to support her.

So very selfish of you.

Cute. Go and pay an attorney to help you. I, for one, will not help you play emotional games with your SISTERS head.

Both you and the PARENTS of this poor child, should be ashamed of even THINKING of this "ploy". :(

Does this child know your are her bioological daughter? Does she know you are her legal sister?

Neither you nor the father are "parents"to this child - he would not need to be notified if you decided to try and adopt her.

This whole scenerio is ridiculous though..this will cost you many $$ through an attorney which you MUST have if you rdecide to tackle this one.
