In Texas, if a blue warrant is issued for a parolee for failure to report (no new crime), but the long way discharge date of the sentence is reached before any hearing is held or arrest made, does anything prevent the discharge of the sentence?

If he screws up before discharge, the can certainly be sanctioned even if the discharge passes before they catch up with him.

He will still have to go in front of a Judge .

Depending on the amount of time he didn't report and the discharge date , may be taken into consideration , but the fact is he violated .

It doesn't matter if it was 2 weeks , or 2 hrs. before discharge .

Hopefully the Judge will give a good scolding , and he will receive a letter from parole he has been discharged .
