What is the name of your state? Texas

Friend of mine past away recently. She has a truck and title in her name only. She left behind 3 kids..24, 27, and 30.
Their mother left a will for the kids but only signed and had noterized. She left no specific instructions on property of disbursement.
Their mother also had a boyfriend..which is useing the vehicle..and when the "kids" asked for the vehicle back..he refused. They obtained and extra set of keys to pick up the truck but only to find he had changed the locks. What if anything can they do without going to court to obtain the truck. Could they have a tow truck driver pick vehicle up? The mother has still payments on the truck. What would gmac do if found out mother is deceased?? Would they repo vehicle??? Please help.

Where is the executor? Why hasn't executor done anything such as calling the police and calling the bank to have the bank repo the car?
