What is the name of your state? Minnesota

Does Minnesota have a Grandparents rights laws. My situation is my former in laws have said some pretty damaging things regarding my children.

My kids father isn't involved and was wondering if there is any backing behind the grandparents threats to take me to court.

In general, since the 2000 ruling by the USSC in Troxel vs Granville it has been difficult for grandparents to win visitation rights.

Minnesota does have a statute permitting grandparents to sue for visitation rights in certain limited circumstances. Minnesota really doesn't have much case law on the books on the subject since Troxel, and their supreme court has not weighed in on the issue.
