What is the name of your state? Virginia
I moved into a house with 3 other people. Only one of us actually signed the 9 month lease, and it was not me. Since then, one of the people moved out with adaquate notive. The person whose name is on the lease has taken the initiative to find a replacement, but it looks like we do not have a replacement for this month.

Am I obligated to share the cost we are short in rent?

I have paid a set amount $550, and the person is asking for an additional $185.

Thanks in advance

Um

Probably not obligated but if you don't want to find someone has short-sheeted your bed... you might want to think about it...
