What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York

A couple years ago I signed a contract with a record label that i really wished i didnt. In the contract it stated that i can only audit them within a specified time period, however, I have reason to believe that the royalties I have been receiving since signing the contract is way below what is due.

Is there a way for me to bring litigation against the label for this and be able to investigate beyond the contract stipulated time window?

What I was thinking is that even though I signed a contract, I believe the monthly statements have been doctored to cover their deceit. Doesnt this constitute as fraud and makes me liable for damages?

Is it really possible for you to sign a contract which allows someone to "legally" commit a crime against you?
