We bought a new 5th wheel trailer in March, 2003 from a dealer here in CA. It has been in the dealership for repairs every month since we bought it. Some of the problems have been the same things, some have been different problems. There are 2 issues that we feel are the worst.
1) We have had the coach in 2 times because the black tank valve was extreamly hard to open. We got it back for the second time on Wed. and it was still the same. We called and told them but since we were leaving on Friday we couldn't bring it back in until Sunday. Sunday came and when my husband was trying to open the valve the handle broke off (he was pulling really hard) and his elbow hit the level jacks. He felt something moving around in his elbow so we took him to the DR. He didn't break anything but the nerves were pinched and causing pain down his arm. DR said that this could last 2-3 weeks or longer.
2) The carpet tack strip was cutting the lining under the slide out unit. Every time the slide out was put in or out it would cut the lining and even cut the wood underneath. They fixed it by putting black tape over the torn lining. This black tape has now rubbed over the carpet, staining it black.

We have been told that there is not a lemon law for RV's unless they are a Motorhome. Is this true and now that the dealers failure to fix known problems, and it has caused my husband to hurt himself, is there anything we can do?
