July, 2007 I purchased a new RV in North Carolina. Immediately I noticed a problem with one of the slide-outs. The dealer worked on the problem twice. Twice I've taken it to Indiana for the manufacturer to repair the problem. While traveling, I've taken it to 2 other manufacturer recommended dealers, but they both said the repair was too intense for them to attempt. Since the last repair by the manufacturer, I've noticed new problems associated with their "repair" attempt. I've contacted the manufacturer about a pending lawsuit. They sent out a rep. and the rep. said he didn't know what is causing the problem, but he felt they could repair it. I asked what they would do and he said they would "start from square one" and probably install new rollers. They already tried that repair & it didn't work! I'm "over it", having made a total of 6 trips to have this problem corrected. The RV was purchased in N.C., registered in Montana, we have drivers licenses from VA & our mailing address is FL!! I think TX would be the best state to file a lawsuit in, as they have a RV friendly lemon law...but can I file there as I didn't purchase my RV there and I don't live there? I am familiar with the Federal lemon law, but it seems that a state lemon law would also be helpful for a lawsuit. And advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Kris
