My husband was near the end of the bag when he threw a handful of fritos in his mouth and found an open safety pin in his mouth! It cut the side of his mouth a little. I contacted Frito Lay and they want me to send them the empty bag and the safety pin. Do I have a case or should I just send it to them?

Any case you may have is going to be limited to the cost of the bag of chips and any medical expenses your husband may have needed. If he didn't need any medical care (no er bills or anything of that sort) then your case is limited to the cost of the chips. You can't sue for what might have happened.

Your call on whether to send it or not. They'll probably send you some coupons.

If I were you I would try to get them to pay for at least a blood test.
What if someone intentionally put a safety pin in there with something contaminated?
Just like this hoax stories about needles in the telephone coin returns.

I found a thumbtack in icecream sundae from McDonald's

North Carolina - While eating an icecream sundae from McDonald's back in August of 2004, I felt something hard and cold in my mouth, and thought it to be ice. However, something told me it wasn't, and when I spit it out in my hand, it was a thumbtack. I reported this to that McDonald's as well as to their mgmt. company...and I was treated very rudely. Is it too late to proceed with a lawsuit against McDonald's or Dixon Foods, the mgmt. company?
