I live in Brooklyn, New York and I have purchased a course online about domain flipping and I gave it a try for 12 or so and just 2 days ago I asked for a refund and the guy hasn't replied yet and that's very weird because i was getting daily replies from these guys when it was about the work but once I asked for a refund they stop replying(for 2 days now no reply) and I was "guaranteed" 30 days to try and if i didn't like it, I was ok for a refund as long as it was within 30 days of purchase which i was 12 days so not even half of 30 days.

the website is www.XXX, I gave them about $450 dollars for everything and didn't use paypal because I was told about this guy by a friend so I trusted this punk and now I regret it, you can scroll all the way at the bottom and you will see the money back guarantee and i got emails that i received from them that have the exact date that i bought these to prove I was still within the 30 days guarantee if you can help me with any advice i would highly appreciate it.

Sorry for the delay in addressing your concerns, Esad. The link to the online course needed to be edited from your post. The posting of commercial links is (generally) not allowed on this site.

First, you might want to wait more than two days for a response from the domain-flipping guys. If they are legitimate, they should respond to your communications soon. If you don't hear back on your requests for a refund, and then get the refund, that is the time to consider other options.

Do you have a receipt for the $450 cash payment? If not, you might have difficulty proving you paid for the course. If you can't prove you paid for the course, it is, of course, more difficult to prove you deserve a refund. ;)

The big plus for you is that you apparently have a friend who knows the guy who sold you the course, so at least you know who to sue, if a lawsuit is what it eventually takes to get the "guaranteed" refund.

Before it gets to the lawsuit stage, however, you might want to have an attorney in your area send a "scary lawyer" letter to the person running the online course. The letter can demand the guaranteed refund amount and can threaten legal action if the money is not refunded to you within X number of days. This type of lawyer letter can sometimes be effective in spurring the recipient to action. Other times, it does nothing ... and then you are left with a decision of whether to sue or not.

Consumers need to be very wary and investigate thoroughly any online company offering courses. What is often learned first when taking the courses is that what is being peddled in the way of information is available for free elsewhere. The second thing that is often learned when taking the courses is that the only one who stands to make any money with the courses is the one who is charging for the online course.

Good luck.

This!

I always wonder why the guys who make tons of money flipping houses (for an example) see the need to write a book to bring others in that would then saturate the field. Doesn't make sense.
