What is the name of your state? Ny
Im looking for some guidance. I recently closed my car lot about 8 months ago & now the problem is the sales tax people have come to my door & have given me 12 days to file 2 years of returns. All I want to know is the best way to get as much time to pay the $50000 I owe. And I dont want it to turn into a criminal matter. I havnt filed anything false, so no fraud. I cant go bankrupt on it but can I go chapter 13? Can I include in the plan to pay a lesser amount? Will filing stop interest & fees? I dont have the money. I just had a bad performing business, I wasnt trying to keep the money, just using it to get by & waiting for the business to turn the corner & it never happened.
any guidance is appreciated & time seems to be of the essence
Thanks
Mike
