What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? South Dakota

2 Sioux Falls South Dakota citizens were sentenced for federal crimes September of 2008.
One person used one social security number that belonged to a dead child. Yet this person has 7 social security numbers on her credit report plus many others used.
Senators Tim Johnson, John Thune and Rep. Stephanie Herseth were all asked the same question via registered mail. How is it 3 people commit the same federal crime but the one that committed the most crimes did not get arrested and prosecuted. Are there special laws for divorced woman?

Without knowing the details of any of the cases, how can anyone answer the question as to "why"? There could be a host of reasons why. Also, were they both charged with the exact same criminal statutes and counts of each?
