Do I have a discrimination case? Everyone (or at least everyone I know of) I work with had a review scheduled to determine what kind of raise they would get at work. When it was my scheduled review time, the boss was in another meeting and could not do my review. I attempted to talk to this boss about the missed review on two separate occasions, and I was blown off. My review/raise never happened.I have an email about the date & time that my review was supposed to take place, but only my word against his, about the 2 blown off discussions. At a later review, I discussed these incidents with another supervisor. I told him that I had not had even a cost of living raise in almost 2 years, while everyone around me did. That supervisor said he would talk to upper management about it, but I still never heard anything about it. Is this discrimination? Do I have a case?

Sorry, this forum is for US law only (you failed to tell us your state.)

Here in the US...

You haven't said anything to make this to appear to be a case of any type of discrimination, much less illegal discrimination. Absent a legally binding CBA or employment contract, you have no right to a raise.

ETA: An exception would be if the minimum wage has increased to a level that is above your current rate of pay.

Based solely on the information in your post, and assuming that you are in the US, there is nothing to suggest any kind of illegal discrimination and no, you do not have any kind of "case". It is possible, though unlikely, that additional information might change the answer. I think the chances are pretty slim, but it's at least within the ballpark of possibility.

No prompting from the peanut gallery, here; I want to hear what the OP has to say without any suggestions from outside.

If you had to guess, why do you think your boss was unwilling to do your review or give you a raise?
