For the record, my opinion as regards the entitlement mentality has not changed.

As an Elementary Child she has the entitlement to be treated fair, entitlement to not be discriminated against based on athletic ability, and the entitlement to be treated as an equal amongst her peers. Thats my opinion.

And you forgot the most important 'entitlement'.

That of entitlement to a parent who teaches her how to grow and learn because life isn't fair.

To let you know as well as others on this forum I had that talk with my kids a long time ago. I'm leary about lawsuits except to make change when nothing else works. I dont think money is the answer as is the change. I believe elementary sports should be fair and equal to all kids including time in the game. This does not mean in any way we should not teach our kids the facts of life. We also need to teach our kids to stand up for themselves and not be a door mat in society. Instead of beating a dead horse on this subject I'm done here. Thank you for the advice and I do appreciate it.

No child has a guaranteed right to play school sports. They do not have an entitlement to play exactly the same amount of time as everyone else. They do have the right to learn that not everyone's abilities are the same; that they aren't always going to be the best at everything; that some people are going to be better than they and to have more playing time; that everything in life is not always fair; and that it's not all about them.

To even consider a lawsuit in this situation is unbelievably inappropriate. And that's my opinion.
