What is the name of your state? Arkansas is the state that I live
in.
My boyfriend has gotten way over his head with his credit
cards, and the accounts on 2 or 3 of them have been closed and
turned over to collection agencies. He has been trying to find a
second job for several months now so he can make some extra
money to pay these credit cards off. He has applied at several
places, but no one has hired him yet. I have a question for you
that I really need an answer to: Is it true that people with bad
credit have a hard time trying to find a job, and why is this since
they so obviously need extra money to pay their debts off?
Please e-mail me your answer as soon as is convenient.
Sincerely,
Shirley C.

People with bad credit MAY have problems if they're looking for a job in the financial sector, insurance, or any job that requires they be bonded. Other than that, it likely won't enter into the job search equation at all. Some employers may feel that someone deep in debt is likely to steal to pay their debts. It depends on what kind of 2nd job he's looking for.
