What is the name of your state? Florida

If you get a second mortgage on a home and only one of the spouses is on the deed of the home, do both parties have to sign the second mortgage, or would only the person who's name is on the deed have to sign? This is the second mortgage in a year and a half, while being married that I have not signed any paperwork, is this illegal?

**A: is it up to the lender.

**A: yes, and why are you not on the deed? And why is your spouse doing this and where is the money going?

I just found out from a broker friend of mine that he did both second mortgages as a single man, not as a married man. Also, why is he doing this, I guess because he does not want me on the deed. Currently were separated as of a week ago. The first mortgage was done the day after we married and the second one was done around the 26th of January 05. I never knew about the first one until I start to investigate deeper. He would never disclose his financial affairs with me, no matter how hard I tried to find out. I guess he's not an honest person, which I am now finding out.

**A: you also need counseling in addition to real estate legal advice.
