What is the name of your state? New York city, Manhattan
We signed a contract to buy a condo in New York city. The closing date in contract is Jan 25, 2005. We have been working hard with our lender and lawyer to move things quickly. However, Seller behaves quite ugly. He used many excuses to delay to send the application of “notice of intention to sell” to the condo board, and then didn’t tell us after the board issued the certificate -Waive of First Refusal. Now our lawyer tries to schedule the closing date. However, Seller’s lawyer just doesn’t reply our lawyer’s call and fax. We also call seller a lot of time, but he has never really done anything. It has already been two weeks, but the sale still hasn’t been closed. We know Seller is trying to delay to move out. Is there any law that can help us to against that situation?
