What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York

Is it legal to sell used kerosene heaters? I found a Kerosun "Radiant 10" heater in the attic of my parents estate. It probably hasn't been used in at least 20 years and don't even know if it works, but I want to sell it (seems too good to just toss). Would I be liable if someone bought it and it exploded?https://forum.freeadvice.com/images/smilies/confused.gif

Kerosene heaters do not explode.

Sell it 'as is.'

Sorry to oppose but I think you are wrong kerosene heaters as any heater that use organic fuel may explode when running out of oxygen can produce massive amounts of soot and carbon monoxide. The open flame poses an explosion risk in environments where flammable vapors may be present, such as in a garage. Use of improper or contaminated fuel could cause poor performance, a fire or an explosion. There are the usual risks involved with the storage of kerosene and while refilling the heater.

What condition is it in? Those old Kerosun "Radiant 10" heaters sell online in like new, refurbished condition for $100 to $200.
Might be worth searching out/contacting a buyer/seller who would buy it 'as is', no guarantees.

If you really want to sell that kerosene heater just be sure that it safe then you can go in online buyer who will buy your kerosene heater.
