So: 4 months after I left my husband 9 years ago, he stopped paying the mortgage. I was unaware. Meanwhile my name is on that paperwork....I think?

Now my mom wants to give me her house. Sign it over, etc as I am the co guardian of my very younger brother who is disabled. She wants me to keep the house for him. Cool. I'd like to.....

Will the foreclose issue from 9 years ago come after meif/this house if I put my mothers house in my name?

I could put it in my disabled brothers name, but won't they take the house if he eventually needs a nursing home?

What's the best plan to keep my mother's home without issue?

Have your mother put the house in a trust for the benefit either your brother or you and your brother. That will solve the whole problem.
