What is the name of your state?
California:
I will try to simplify my question.
The law states that any items bought before the marraige remains seperate property if divorced...from my understanding.
Is there ever a situation where that property can become 50/50?
For example if a lot of money was spent on that property during the marraige. Maybe ONLY the money spent is divided??
I don't need details really just really want to know if previously owned property can become community. None of it was given as a gift.
Thank you!!
