"service to" easement meaning???

I'm just looking for an explanation of what the "service to" part of the following easement language means:

"Together with a non-exclusive temporary easement for ingress and egress in and over so much of the Common Areas of the Condominium, per the Declaration, as is reasonably necessary for accress to and from, and service to, the subject premises."

I was going to post this under the condo topics but it is not necessarily a condo issue. Basically, I understand "ingress and egress" that the owner of the premises and their invitees can cross the Common Areas and the "service to" mean construction people to service the building. There does not appear to be any sort of utility easement however.

Any comments on what this easement would really grant? It is temporary too.

Service To

This will likely include utility service providers. For instance in one state it's called Miss Utility, when a phone call is made to all utility service providers to come out and mark their lines before any digging is done. Services providers can also include gas, water, cable, electricity. You won't have a lot of wiggle room with this language.

I think what is telling here is that it is an "easement for ingress and egress" and what it is for is "access to and from, and service to, the subject premises", they would still need a utility easement for utilities. I understand that "access to and from" would apply to the property owners and "service to" would mean service personel to use the easement for ingress and egress, but not to put in a permanent structure such as pipes.

Is your opinion just based on a gut feeling of calling utilities for locates or do you have some insight into this that I am missing? Thanks.

I'll presume you're using the Queen's English when you say "we", since Indiana offers cogent arguments to people such as yourself. Not to mention that you got legally accurate advice from Indiana. The fact that you liked neither his answer nor his delivery is your problem.
