Four weeks ago i went to work for a large restaurant chain as a manager in training. Since day one I have been subjucted to being vidio tapped by a subordinate, grabbed on ass, exposed to pornographic cartoons/jokes, and many other sorts of unwanted sexual situations. I have approched both the District Manager and the General Manager who said this type of behavior is not tolerated and will be taken care of, however, the actions they have taken to resolve this matter has made the location very hostile for me to work in. I now have both peer supervisors and employees making snide comments about my complaints etc. Do I have any recourse here I can not afford to quit and find a new position and dread going to work each day. Any advice for me?

YES YOU DO. What is being done is the most gross form of sexual harrassment, it is not even arguably acceptable. I am not sure if the Company's management is allowing it to persist, but if they are allowing you to be harrassed for stopping illegal conduct, that's bad too.

Make a complete (and confidential -- do not tell anyone you are doing it or leave it in the palce of business) diary of everything that is going on day by day, who said what or did what, etc. Write down in a separate record what went on up to now, as memories fade with time, and what you remember now is more accurate than what you'll remember later.

And get to a lawyer who does employment discrimination. If you are telling the truth, the Company could be held liable for a large amount. It's gross.
